Welcome to The Gateacre Brow Practice
Hello and welcome to The Gateacre Brow Practice website!
We are based in the leafy suburbs of Gateacre and Woolton. The practice serves approx. 7000 patients, offering a diverse range of services to meet your health care needs.
inform your pharmacy and the surgery if you are receiving medicines that you are not taking. Please take the time to have a look at our website - it has the most current information on what we provide and how you can get help.
We do try our very best to offer you a first class service. At times, we may fall short of this and we would like to know! If there is something we have got wrong or you feel there are things we could improve on, then please feed this back to us. If you have a complaint about any aspect of our service then please do speak to a member of the reception team to see how best we can resolve the issue. If this is not to your satisfaction, then please ask us how to complain formally.
If you have a disability please let us know so that we ensure your records are coded correctly and so that assistance will be offered without the need for you to ask
LATEST THINGS TO KNOW...
Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine
The NHS is currently offering the COVID-19 vaccine to people most at risk from coronavirus. The order in which people will be offered the vaccine is based on advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI).
The NHS will let you know when it's your turn to have the vaccine. It's important not to contact the NHS for a vaccination before then. You can read more about the COVID-19 vaccine on the NHS website.
Our practice list is open for new registrations for patients who live within our practice boundary to be able to register to be seen and visited at home should this be necessary.
We are also registering patients who live outside our practice boundary as long as they are happy to attend surgery to be seen as we are unable to offer visit service to patients outside our practice boundary. Please see New Patients tab at the top of this page and download pdf registration form to return in person to our Receptionists at either site.
Please do not order medication if you are not taking it. Please inform your pharmacy and the surgery if you are receiving medicines that you are not taking.
PATIENT REFERENCE GROUP
If you would like information on our Patient Reference Group please go to the Patient Group tab under Quick Links. You can also view the latest minutes from the last meeting. You can join the group by asking for information in practice or on line. The group meets currently 3 times per year and alternates afternoons and evenings to allow as many of the group as possible to attend though all viewpoints are important to us and you can add items to the agenda whether you attend meetings or not. Please look at the section for further Information.
If you have an urgent need to be seen on the day and other available appointments have been taken you will be included on the triage list of the Doctor on Call who is different each day and these appointments are in addition to the book on the day slots but are not available to book on line as they are urgent on the day appointments.
As with all appointments please book them only when needed and cancel them if you don't need them or can't keep an appointment you have booked. Appointments are always in high demand and an appointment not attended is an appointment wasted.
